Have you heard of the patriot physician, Dr. Joseph Warren (1741-1775)? Chances are that if you are familiar with his name, you remember Warren as the man who dispatched Paul Revere and William Dawes riding into historic stardom or as the fighting major general who was killed in action at the battle of Bunker Hill. Dr. Joseph Warren died a martyr to freedom, but also a traitor to King George III since a declaration of independence was over a year away. Without Warren and Bunker Hill, would there have been an American Revolution?

A Harvard graduate and top Boston physician, Warren rose to the heights of power and influence, agitating resistance against oppressive Crown policies. As the leading Freemason and spymaster, Warren’s vast network transcended not only the confines of Boston, but also her deep political fault lines. Warren helped push the colonies to the brink of revolution, organizing and controlling the iconic events of the colonial rebellion.

This compelling story of America’s Founding Martyr is finally being brought to the screen.
